Multi Agency Referrals (Spot Purchase)
Who is it for?
Young people (7 – 16 years old) who are struggling or are unable to participate in a standard classroom environment due to behaviour, learning needs, low confidence, bereavement, socialisation issues or family difficulties.
In 1:1 or small peer groups, young people will supported through the medium of the outdoor environment to develop key skills such as:
Confidence, Communication, Motivation, Trust, Co-operation, Resilience and Healthy choices as well as gaining access to physical activities to challenge and inspire them.
Participants will set personal targets and have the opportunity to achieve in-house activity certificates and AQA awards.
Programmes run through term time and school holidays between 10.00am and 3.00pm.
Children and Young People can be referred by any agency who have identified an additional support need (school, youth worker, health worker, social worker, family support worker, EWO etc). On request our programme manager will send you an assessment form to complete and a start date will be agreed.
Term-time referrals will be booked onto appropriate programmes linked to age, timetable and need for a minimum of six sessions. This placement will then be reviewed every half-term – some young people stay with us for several years!
Each half-term our instructors will complete report forms based on ECM(Every Child Matters?) outcomes and Individual Learner Plans to evidence achievement.
Holiday groups are one-off days and ideal as incentives or reward for positive behaviour or respite care.
Platinum is a new joint agency intervention programme for children and young people aged 7 to 19 years that has been put together based on discussions with Schools, Cornwall Council’s Behaviour Support Team, White Gold and BF Adventure.
The programme is on offer to all primary and secondary schools and referrals can be made at any time. For a full programme overview , please click here.
Transport is the responsibility of the referrer. Most use volunteer drivers or support workers – we can give you contact numbers on request.
