ALIVE (formerly known as “Hines”) Funded
Aim
The aim of the programme is to support and improve cohesion and integration of children. This is done by bringing together children with different needs and skills, including positive role models, children with low confidence and those who may be starting to disengage or cause concern in mainstream education. Through a structured programme of team building activities children are encouraged to support each other and learn transferable life skills, which in turn increases confidence, motivation and engagement.
Pre, during and post programme assessments are completed by school staff and BFA Instructors plus Individual Learner plans measure change in social and life skills with evidence of positive outcomes in nearly all cases.
