ALIVE (formerly known as “Hines”) Funded
The aim of the programme is to support and improve cohesion and integration of children. This is done by bringing together children with different needs and skills, including positive role models, children with low confidence and those who may be starting to disengage or cause concern in mainstream education. Through a structured programme of team building activities children are encouraged to support each other and learn transferable life skills, which in turn increases confidence, motivation and engagement.
Pre, during and post programme assessments are completed by school staff and BFA Instructors plus Individual Learner plans measure change in social and life skills with evidence of positive outcomes in nearly all cases.
Referrals to this programme are made by the County Behaviour Support Service who works closely with schools. If you think your school would benefit from this programme please contact Tim Davis, Team Leader, Behaviour Support Service, 01209 881828 or firstname.lastname@example.org
